Kenco Engineering bucket moldboards are made from high-grade structural steel to provide maximum bucket strength. To avoid unnecessary replacement of worn moldboards (a task that is expensive, time consuming, and requires special tools) Kenco recommends the Moldboard Protection systems shown below.

Kenco High-grade Structural Steel Moldboards

Bevels are cut at a special angle to leave more steel in front of cutting edge bolt holes, providing additional wear life compared to conventional styles. Optionally, the bevel on Kenco moldboards can be tungsten carbide impregnated for extreme wear conditions. Download product literature (PDF).

Kenco Moldboard Protection Systems

Protect all bucket moldboards with Kenco cast Moldboard Caps, or with a fabricated Kenco tungsten carbide impregnated Moldboard Bevel Strip. Both protection systems virtually eliminate wear on the moldboard and help to reduce material buildup inside the bucket.
