Install Kenco Alloy-K Cast Wear Plates with Weld Washers:
Ensure base metal on which Kenco Alloy-K wear plates are to be installed is clean and flat.
Place wear plate in desired position on base metal and tap a Kenco weld washer into each hole.
Using a good quality welding electrode or MIG wire, weld the weld washer to the base metal through the hole (see illustration below). Ensure the arc is struck to the base metal, not the weld washer itself. Allow the puddle to build up to fill the weld washer.
The result is the weld washer is welded to the base metal, and the beveled sides of the weld washer secure the Alloy-K wear plate in place.
