Kenco’s unique Tungsten Carbide Impregnated (TCI) process protects auger flights from abrasive wear better than any alternative method. Crushed tungsten carbide is impregnated into the flight edges (and outer faces, if desired) by melting the flight metal to a depth between .250” and .375” and dropping crushed tungsten carbide particles into the molten puddle. After cooling, the tungsten carbide is solidified deep into the parent metal.

Features and Benefits:

  • Hardness approaching industrial diamond
  • Heat & bend to protect curved areas
  • Costs less than MOST hardfacing rods
  • Resists thermal shock
  • Available in nearly any size or shape
