Kenco manufactures longer wearlife tungsten carbide impregnated Bolt-on and Weld-on Cutting Edges for all front end loader buckets. Bolt-on cutting edges are available in both single edge and double edge configurations. Weld-on Cutting Edges are single edge style only.
Many popular cutting edges are in stock, ready for direct OEM replacement on machines including Caterpillar, Deere, Kawasaki, Komatsu, and VME.
Kenco can provide custom tungsten carbide patterns to meet special wear conditions for any cutting edge. Product literature (PDF).
Kenco Half Arrow Style Cutting Edges
In certain applications half arrow style cutting edges have proven to be cost effective in fighting wear. They offer extra protection of the bucket base edge, as material is beveled over the leading edge.
Kenco Half Arrow edges are fabricated using quality steel plate. All other manufacturers' half arrow edges are cast, thus subject to inconsistent quality, fit problems, lack of availability, and long lead times. Kenco Half Arrow edges are fabricated from quality steel plate and tungsten carbide impregnated for maximum wearlife. They are available with the same fast lead time as conventional Kenco cutting edges.
Features and Benefits:
Impregnated to a minimum depth of .25" with crushed Tungsten Carbide for longer wearlife
Tungsten carbide provides a wear surface hardness of 90 Rockwell A
Half Arrow edges are fabricated from quality steel plate, not cast
Many popular cutting edges in stock for direct OEM replacement
Available in both single edge and double edge configurations
Can be custom designed to meet customer needs or wear conditions
Should I install single edge or double edge cutting edges? Because bucket wear is usually most severe in the corners, Kenco recommends single edge center blades, and double edge end blades. Frequently, single edge center blades will wear just about the same length of time as double edge end blades, with rotation.
What can be done to fight severe outside corner wear on end blades? When severe outside corner wear on end blades is a problem, try Kenco Corner Wear Pattern end blades.
