Black Gold RAP Crusher

Kenco Engineering's Black Gold RAP Crusher is a rugged durable hammer mill, designed specifically to break up and size recycled asphalt before it is fed into an asphalt drum mixer or pugmill. The Black Gold features 28 hammers and a 5-piece grate screen, impregnated with exclusive Kenco crushed tungsten carbide for extended wear life. The rotor is mounted to a movable sub frame, eliminating the need to remove and reinstall hammers to use their second crushing side. Product literature (PDF).

FAQ's

How many tons per hour can the Black Gold crush?
Because of extreme variations in job conditions, Kenco cannot guarantee any ton per hour production rate. Actual production will depend on size of material to be crushed and screen opening size. Tons per hour can also be increased by use of a material feed system that allows material already of correct size to bypass the crusher.

Foreign objects get inside my Black Gold crusher and cause the cast liners to break.  Is there a way to prevent this?
Yes. When the material fed into the Black Gold crusher is clean, the standard cast liners will provide outstanding wear life. However, foreign objects such as milling machine teeth, or tramp metal, may impact the cast liners and break them. If such objects cannot be screened from the input material, Kenco recommends the use of optional tungsten carbide impregnated AR steel liners. AR liner schematic (PDF). Contact us for details.

Can materials other than RAP be crushed with the Black Gold?
The Black Gold has been engineered specifically to break up lumps of RAP and size the output material for input into the asphalt plant. It is not recommended for any other applications.
